Japanese food has always been my favorite international cuisine. I was lucky enough to have a variety of delicious Japanese food during my three and half week stay here. 🙂

屋台＠福岡中洲 (Yatai: Food Cart)
It’s my first time to experience the local “yatai”(food cart) culture in Japan. “yatai” is the famous culture in Fukuoka. Back to 1600s where there were wars here and there in Japan, yatai provided simple food options for the single soldiers who needed to eat something simple and fast.

The hostel staff recommended this ramen place to me. I went there around 9:00 pm and there were still a long line. The flavor was slightly too salty for me, but overall it was great.

This was the local izakaya. Local people can store their wine here and mark their name on it. When they come back to the store, they could drink their own wine bottle.
